    Our History

    2003

    Luke Hohmann Consulting was founded. Our first client, Qualcomm, set the tone for bold innovation for decades to come.

    2004

    Luke Hohmann Consulting becomes Enthiosys, Inc.

    2006

    Innovation Games®: Creating Breakthrough Products through Collaborative Play, by Luke Hohmann was published by Addison Wesley.

    2008

    The first pcamp in Sunnyvale, CA. pcamp evolves into ProductCamp.

    2010

    Jason Tanner becomes CEO of Enthiosys, bringing a strong product management consulting and services mindset to the organization. Luke retains his position as Chairman of the Board and founds The Innovation Games Company to focus on building a platform for delivering Innovation Games online.

    2013

    We changed our name to Applied Frameworks, reflecting our approach to applying proven frameworks rooted in Lean-Agile principles to optimize product management and software development practices.

    2014

    The Innovation Games Company rebrands as Conteneo, Inc. to expand beyond just Innovation Games.

    2015

    Luke Hohmann delivers the "Awesome Superproblems" keynote address for the Agile Alliance® Agile 2015 Conference. Over the years, Luke delivers this keynote around the world - including two SAFe Summits.

    2016

    Applied Frameworks in collaboration with Look Forward consulting Launch CSP FastPass, the worlds first online, cohort-based, on demand advanced scrum training program.

    2018

    Applied Frameworks acquires Look Forward Consulting and Carlton Nettleton joins as the Head of Product, spearheading groundbreaking Scrum and Agile training initiatives.

    2019

    Conteneo is acquired by Scaled Agile, Inc. The Conteneo Weave platform becomes an integral part of SAFe Studio, SAFe Collaborate. The Product Management Academy is launched as an online collaborative environment for product managers to accelerate their careers.

    2021

    Phil Gardiner, SAFe SPCT, and LPM expert joins to lead the SAFe Practice. Applied Frameworks becomes a Scaled Agile Gold Partner.

    2023

    Software Profit Streams™: A Guide to Designing a Sustainably Profitable Business, is published and hits Amazon Best Seller status in 4 categories. Luke Hohmann and Phil Gardiner are recognized as SAFe Fellows. Horizon, the first AI-powered Solution Profitability Management platform, is launched.

    2025 - We are Refounders!

    Scaled Agile transfers SAFe® Collaborate to Applied Frameworks in November. Rebranded as Horizon™ Engage, we seamlessly continue provide support for SPCs and SPCTs teaching and practicing SAFe.

    Q1 2026 - The Horizon Platform Emerges

    Horizon™ Engage continues to improve supporting the teaching, learning and scaling of agility. Horizon™ Invest Training Edition is launched. Applied Frameworks has transformed from a services firm to an enterprise B2B SaaS company.
